LLC Karjala Pulp is the largest exporter of newsprint in Russia, delivering its product to more than 50 countries.
According to FAO Forestry statistics, Russia is in second place on the list of the world newsprint exporters and Karjala Pulp is one of the major world suppliers in this market segment. According to The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, for the first 9 months 2015 Russia has exported about 818 thousand tons of newsprint, 48 % of which accounts for Karjala Pulp.
Karjala Pulp manufacturing site is Kondopoga pulp and paper mill. The company also has the transportation and logging resources. Thanks to the high production capacities of JSC Kondopoga mill, our company is considered to be the leading producer of newsprint in Russia and Europe.
Newsprint of Kondopoga pulp and paper mill is recognized as one of the most environmentally friendly in the world. It contains almost 80% wood pulp, and only 20% cellulose. Using the traditional production technology makes the paper quality higher than in any other Russian or foreign analogues. The newsprint paper is granted with many international awards and quality certificates.
According to the Federal Customs Service of Russia in the Northwestern Federal District, Karjala Pulp was the best exporter in 2015. The national business rating in 2015 considered the company a leader in terms of effective use of resources .
